hi, i’m india hope.
life is tough huh? way tougher than i expected. yet travelling never lets me down. so join me on my adventures, which is my attempt of making sense of this world.
what can you expect from this page? well, that’s your first mistake. expectations are not healthy, so do not expect. why? when expectations are not achieved, they end in utter disappointment. when expectations are achieved, you can never be at maximum happiness because, well, you expected it. This rule applies to travelling. This rule is essential. Travel with curiosity and admiration. Travel with wonder, crave the unknown. But most importantly, travel with passion.
me
you see, I am not accustomed to my typically british lifestyle. of course there’s the mundane weather here, but worst of all, there’s expectation. expectation to be this, expectation to do that, its draining.
i was raised in Tenerife. a beautiful little island off the coasts of Spain and Africa. i was living the Mediterranean lifestyle where you literally follow your heart and do whatever makes you happy! fancy a nap at noon? uh – go for it! stressful day at work? beach it is! need to indulge? here’s some fresh bread, fruit, wine, seafood. you literally consistently live amongst the luxuries of life and so it’s no wonder that people are so happy and free here.
so then i was put back into England, London. and yeah, you bet, life is different. exams, work, money, dieting, fatigue, stress, stress, stress. the word expectation literally hovers above my head day in and day out because that’s exactly the environment that society has created. and now, i’m coping with anxiety. in arguably the most stressful city in the world. ironic right?
so, much like the other wanderers (please see my definition of these in my post “chapter 1”), i travel to escape. i seek the joys in life that are lacking here in London. and i’m doing this with my boyfriend. the literal light of my life.
onto my adventures
travelling is the perfect escapism, it is my guru. i have been lucky enough to have seen unbelievable sights, funded by myself at a young age. i have hiked up an active volcano in Bali, watched the sun set on the Gili Islands, been amongst the lions and elephants in South Africa, learnt how to cook pasta in Rome, been snorkelling in Mexico, roamed in Paris, the list goes on.
and there’s more to come.
the hidden messages of the world
so, i’m finding my feet. i’m trying to make sense of this world. trying to put together who i am and what i want out of life. to do this, i’m following my heart and not my head. i am venturing the world, really trying to grasp the meaning of each place, channelling the energy it releases and understanding how it makes me feel.
i’m bringing to you, the hidden messages of the world.
on india hope travels, i will set out my adventures, my itineraries, my advice and will focus on the underlying emotions each place has invoked within me, to help guide me on my attempt at – making sense of this world.

the beginning hi, hola, chao, bonjour. It’s all the same. The same meaning, the same definition, yet somehow, its so different. I suppose that I believe it to be different because each word comes with a new emotion, each word provokes a new feeling. And, I suppose that’s travelling. Well, that’s absolutely travelling.
